This Air Jordan 13 PE Colorway Is Dedicated to the Oregon Ducks

The year may be coming to an end, but that’s not slowing anything down with Jordan Brand. The latest from them appears to be a retro pair of Air Jordan 13 PE dedicated to the Orgeon Ducks, as shared by Ducks’ equipment manager Kenny Farr on Twitter tonight. From the photos, it appears the suede and leather panels have been reversed, while the upper’s been color blocked between the team’s bright and dark green colors. Near the heel of the shoe, the regular hologram has also been replaced by the Ducks’ mascot. Nothing has been confirmed between the team or Jordan Brand yet, though the shoes are rumoured to be an exclusive for students, staff, friends, and family. Check out the photos above and Farr’s tweet below for a first look.

Roger Federer Serves up a New Collab in This Week's Sneaker Releases

Once upon a time, long before the hype pervaded popular culture, the major sneaker brands would typically deliver one, maybe two coveted releases a month, with a heavy emphasis on storytelling. Nowadays, it’s commonplace to see these different labels ditch the ‘who, what, where, when and how,’ and instead drop multiple pairs of heat in just one weekend. A welcomed dilemma for most.

With that said, we continue our weekly roundup of the most sought after silhouettes for the week, hoping to make your ‘cop or drop’ decision as easy as possible. Check out the list below and chime in on the styles you’ll be picking up.

Nike Zoom Vapor RF x AJ3 “atmos”

    Nike

    Release Date: November 17
Release Price: $200 USD, available via select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike SNKRS

Following a launch in “Fire Red,” the Nike Zoom Vapor RF x AJ3 will soon drop in the famed “atmos” color scheme, with black tumbled leather dominating its upper. The Air Jordan 3’s popular elephant print makes its way around the toe and heel, while RF, Nike Air and Jumpman branding in teal are placed on the midsole, heel and tongue respectively.

    Nike Air Max 97 (Black/Volt)

    Nike

    Release Date: November 17
Release Price: $160 USD, available via select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike SNKRS

Paying homage to the Air Max 95, Nike’s Air Max 97 hits the shelves in a familiar colorway of black, grey and volt. The aforementioned neon green coloring is incorporated on its full-length visible Air Max unit and Swoosh motif on each lateral and medial side. A white midsole separates its upper from the outsole, while the layered upper alternates black and grey hues.

    Nike Kobe A.D. Mid (Grey/Snakeskin)

    Nike

    Release Date: November 17
Release Price: $150 USD, available via select Nike Basketball retailers

Nike’s Kobe A.D. Mid is the most recent of Kobe Bryant’s signature line to hit retail shelves, and a new Grey/Snakeskin colorway is next in line. The sneaker displays Bryant’s affinity for detail in the game of basketball thanks to symbols placed on the heel and its overall blueprint-like aesthetic. Grey dominates its upper while a translucent blue outsole and contrasting orange Swoosh add a bit of showmanship to the sneaker.

    Air Jordan 12 “Wolf Grey”

    Nike

    Release Date: November 18
Release Price: $190 USD, available via select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike SNKRS

It’s the Air Jordan 12’s turn to join the “Wolf Grey” lineage as MJ’s signature sneaker features a suede and pebbled leather construction. It’s tonal grey colorway is complemented by gold detailing on its upper eyestays and outsole for a final stamp of approval.

    ASICS x Woei GEL-Lyte III

    END.

    Release Date: November 18
Release Price: N/A, available via select ASICS retailers and END.

Rotterdam’s own WOEI boutique celebrates ten years strong with a special ASICS collaboration. The commemorative drop welcomes Apricot Nector and Black coloring to the ASICS’ GEL-Lyte III. WOEI’s logo is placed on each heel, while materials such as vintage nylon and suede make up its build.

    adidas Nemeziz Tango 17+ UltraBOOST

    END.

    Release Date: November 17
Release Price: $200 USD, available via select adidas Soccer retailers and adidas.com

Off-white coloring meets the new look of the adidas Nemeziz Tango 17+ UltraBOOST. The remodeled silhouette gains inspiration from athletic sports-tape via its Torsion Taped-upper. BOOST cushioning makes its way back to the midsole as well as the Continental™ rubber outsole. The aforementioned Torsion Tape provides the wearer with just the right amount of flexibility for either casual wear or athletic performance.

adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Semi Frozen Yellow

    YEEZY MAFIA

    Release Date: November 18

How Trail Runners Became This Season’s Favorite Silhouette

When Supreme announced this season’s Nike collaboration, the New York-based brand continued its trend of working with more under-the-radar sneakers. Previous releases such as the Air Force 2 and the Air More Uptempo had been cult shoes, loved by a small but devoted following, that were then catapulted back into the mainstream by a Supreme cosign. For Fall/Winter 2017, the label did the same: releasing four different colorways of the Air Humara, a relatively obscure trail sneaker that made its debut in 1998.

Supreme isn’t the only brand to have worked with the uber-technical trail running silhouette, however. This season has also seen Patta and ASICS work together on the latter’s GEL-Mai silhouette, while the latest White Mountaineering x adidas collaboration also included trail running styles and Pharrell’s ongoing adidas project expanded to the NMD Hu Trail.

In some ways, the sneakers are part of the much-documented focus on chunkier footwear, which has taken in everyone from New Balance to Balenciaga. “Trail shoes naturally have this look anyway,” explains John Stewart, adidas Running’s Director of Merchandising, “so they become a little more acceptable to a fashion lens.”

When Stewart describes what makes a good trail runner, he points to things like “different levels of grip,” “a rugged outsole,” and “durability” — all of which could be used to describe many of the so-called “dad” sneakers. This link is also highlighted by Alex Powis, editor of CREPE CITY magazine, who points to another popular sneaker “Raf [Simons]’s take on the Ozweego has a certain trail vibe to it, with its overly pronounced sole unit.”

    Patta

Another reason for the style’s popularity according to Stewart is the current trend for styles associated with the 1990s, when “a lot of those silhouettes followed this aesthetic.” In the ‘90s, technical footwear took on a subcultural importance far beyond its original purpose. The FILA Trailblazer, for example, was originally intended as a hiking and trekking shoe before it became intimately tied to the UK raving scene.

“It was all about being different back in the day.”

The cultural importance of these shoes isn’t confined to raving, either. Speaking about the ASICS collaboration, Patta’s Tim Sabajo explains how the brand had always wanted to work with this kind of sneaker: “For us it’s a memory thing,” he expands, “back in the day when almost everybody was rocking runners you wanted something else, and that’s what the trail/cross trainer is. That type of shoe is more of a style thing, it was all about being different back in the day, styling on fools and giving them neck injuries by walking with heat they never saw before.”

Although they have an overly technical look, trail sneakers are in many ways a retro sneaker with their cultural legacy and an aesthetic that can be seen as chunky and old-fashioned. “It’s a push-back against the more recent obsession with ‘future’ in sneakers,” says Powis of the style’s popularity. “When things get predictable, the more adventurous people often search for areas in style where the masses are too afraid to go, making that area an expressive safe space. These spaces are often deemed as ugly, and more often than not, that’s the allure for those who go there first.”

    adidas Originals

Trail runners have also been seen as a gateway to other more experimental forms of footwear — something which could explain the style’s popularity. As Powis points out, trail runners are obviously more conceptual than most other commonly-seen sneakers. “The trail runner is definitely the easiest tech shoe to incorporate into your everyday wardrobe,” explains Lee Goldup, menswear buyer at Browns. “This style of sneaker looks the most belligerent – they’ve got an aggressive quality to them, which is key to this trend. The silhouette is similar to a lot of existing sneakers from the likes of Nike and adidas, but has an extra edge, so it’s perfect for the man who wants something just a bit different.”

For Goldup, what separates the trail runner trend this time around is the way that people are wearing the shoes. “You can wear these on a trail run along with all your other performance wear,” he says, “but they also look great worn with a pair of Gucci trackpants and a Mackintosh 001 coat. Pairing technical footwear from the likes of Saloman and Hoka with high fashion is definitely a newer trend that’s very noticeable,” he says, “and that feels very of the moment.”

“This style of sneaker looks the most belligerent – they’ve got an aggressive quality to them.”

As for where this trend goes next, Goldup points to a range of brands to watch such as the Saloman S/Lab Black range (“one of the best technical footwear styles out there), Hoka One One and Alyx collaborator Roa. Powis also suggests that one-to-watch is Jon Tang’s FRONTEER label, which he says has “been very influential in predicting this trend early and pushing it into existence.”

There’s a more general point for Powis, though, about how the second coming of the trail runner will develop. “You have to remember that this is very much a thing from an older generation,” he explains. “They know the history, because they were the ones who reappropriated these silhouettes the first time round. What’s about to happen is the younger generation getting their turn to play with it.”

These Newly Updated Clarks Shoes Won’t Let You Down This Winter

Visit the original post to see all 6 images from this gallery.

Clarks has long been an often unsung fashion hero thanks to its iconic Wallabees and Desert Boots. And, while these models maintain an ongoing appeal, the brand has recently built a new following with its contemporary take on sneakers. Now, Clarks is releasing the limited edition Nature V Snow Livery Boot, another update on its Nature V shoe, and we’ve got all the details.

Clarks’ Nature shoes received their first significant update in almost four decades earlier this year, signaling the brand’s continued evolution and relevance when it comes to fashion-focused footwear.

The Nature IV was a hybrid footwear design that defied categorization and the brand has applied the same transcendent design philosophy to the Nature V range that first released earlier this year. The latest interpretation, the Snow Livery Boot, has an undeniably fashion-forward aesthetic, its overall wearability is universal and its functionality conclusively favors an active lifestyle.

Its practical secrets start beneath the hood with the hand-carved wooden last that provides an ergonomic, asymmetric fit, an anatomically-formed footbed, and a high-density heel cup that maximises responsiveness. The upper protects against snow and rain, utilizing a combination of premium nubuck and wool with rubber wrap and neoprene detailing.

The limited edition Nature V Snow Livery Boot is available to buy online and at select UK stores now. Find out more via the link below.

Since its mass global return in 2013, the Nike Air Huarache has been one of the best-selling retro sneakers on the market. The running shoe, designed by Tinker Hatfield and originally releasing in 1991, was clearly ahead of its time as the slip-on look championed by Nike nearly three decades ago is now the norm. For loyalists to the Huarache, it appears that this original colorway from ’91 is making its return. A release date hasn’t been set yet, but expect these at Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com soon.

This New Nike Air Max 90 Is All About Flexing With Big Logos

Nike’s Air Max Plus isn’t the only sneaker to receive oversized logo detailing. An Air Max 90 with blown-up logos has appeared, courtesy of Japanese retailer atmos.

Featuring a plain white upper and midsole, the shoe is distinguished by an enormous “AIR MAX” logo on its side. Contrasting with sneaker’s neutral-toned colorway, the supersized branding overtakes the area normally occupied by a Swoosh. The translucent “AIR MAX” has been executed in a color that recalls the iconic “Infared” Air Max 90 colorway. A black sole completes the otherwise understated footwear.

The Nike Air Max 90 “NS GPX” drops in atmos stores on October 28 for ¥15,000 JPY (approximately $130 USD). Will we see more oversized Nike logos in the future? Only time will tell. Until then, Nike has updated its SB Dunk High Pro and VaporMax silhouettes with new colorways.

In May of 2016, the best of Jordan’s worlds were blended together with Trophy Room Store, Marcus Jordan’s first foray into the retail business. Located inside the Disney Springs shopping center inside the famed Disney World, Trophy Room sought to combine an elevated shopping experience with a true museum-like experience displaying never-before-seen artifacts of Michael Jordan’s legendary footwear line as well a rare inside lens into the Jordan family. Anchored by a regal combination of grey suede, stoic black, and an elegant gold, the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 17 reflects the “grown” era of Michael Jordan’s “retirement” and the moment his unrelenting love of the game pulled him out of the front office and back onto the court.

Clarks Originals Gets Dapper This Season With Its Latest Fall Delivery

Visit the original post to see all 9 images from this gallery.

While legendary footwear maker Clarks Originals have been killing the game lately with fresh iterations of its classic silhouettes, it’s the brand’s dressier offerings that have been turning things up a notch.

By utilizing construction methods typically found in traditional dress shoes and fusing them with some of the brand’s most iconic styles, Clarks Originals has found a way to tap into more formal sensibilities while still maintaining its heritage DNA.

The Desert Welt is one such style that’s instantly recognizable because of its Desert Boot silhouette, but it’s been completely updated with Goodyear welted soles and luxury Bronto sand suede uppers for superior durability. For the uninitiated, Goodyear welt construction ensures you’ll get the most mileage out of your hard bottoms because they’re easily replaceable by any skilled cobbler.

Joining its ranks is the more rugged military-inspired Craftmaster I and Craftmaster III boots. Based on an original 1950s Clarks design, the Craftmaster I is reimagined in supple burgundy pebbled leather along with similar Goodyear-welted construction throughout. The Craftmaster III is nearly identical except it boasts slick black leather uppers and a more durable commando outsole for occasions when precarious weather conditions call for it.

And once again, Clarks Originals didn’t forget about the ladies, either. The Ornella Derby is a refined take on the classic derby shoe with a feminine twist. Its elevated crepe soles are reminiscent of the popular creeper trend that’s taken over women’s footwear as of late and its Italian construction ensures top notch quality.

Rounding out this latest delivery is another women’s silhouette, the Friya Desert, which is a streamlined take on the classic Desert boot. The uppers and signature crepe soles are slimmed down for a feminine look while still maintaining the unmistakable last of the Desert Boot.

You can shop all five premium styles at Clarks’ website now.
